This summer, the Baltimore County Council passed legislation that established bike parking requirements for Downtown Towson. I have now introduced legislation that would extend these requirements to new construction in the Loch Raven and Perry Hall revitalization districts, and in Perry Hall’s Honeygo area.

Automobiles remain the preferred mode of transportation for most Baltimore Countians, and I have worked to resurface roads throughout the Fifth District. In fact, more than 20 miles of roads will have been resurfaced in the Fifth District by late 2014. But I also want to make sure that people have the opportunity to use and park their bikes wherever possible.

The Council will vote on this bill on Monday, October 7th.
