I am happy to announce that renovations are advancing at Kingsville Park, the 22-acre site located at 11700 Franklinville Road.

Our office was asked by the Kingsville Recreation Council to intervene last summer. Since that time, Baltimore County has worked on several improvements.

There had been a tall swath of trees and brush where balls were lost, so the hillside by the lower diamond was mowed this fall.

There is an issue with standing water throughout the park. Baltimore County’s Office of Property Management will be hiring a site engineer to come up with a solution, and this will include a design and cost estimate. This proposal is due within the next two weeks.

The county is now working to renovate and routinely maintain the ball diamonds. Kingsville Park ball diamond work will begin next week, weather permitting.

I would like to thank the County Executive’s staff and our recreation and parks officials for helping to improve Kingsville Park. This is one of older parks in the northeast, and it is very important to our families in Kingsville, Bradshaw, and northern Perry Hall.
