The Parkville library will be closed in April and May for a major renovation.  The $276,000 project involves new carpeting, painting of walls, and improvements to the shelving system.

During this period, customers will need to use nearby libraries such as the Perry Hall, White Marsh, Loch Raven and Towson branches.

The Fifth District that I represent has some of the best libraries in Baltimore County, from the Perry Hall branch built in 2009 to the Towson library, one of the largest in Maryland.  I have worked hard to improve these branches.  Last summer, we were able to secure full-time status for the Loch Raven library for the first time in two decades.  I am also very proud to be a member of the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library, which raises private donations to support our system.
