In 2012, the Baltimore County Council approved a land transfer that preserved 11 acres of environmentally-sensitive land near Joppa View Elementary School.   That acreage was added to Honeygo Park.  As part of the agreement, the community was also given a plot of land south of the Perry Hall library.

Our office created a committee to evaluate uses for the library site, and the top recommendation was to create an all-access playground and amphitheater.   Four years later, with today’s groundbreaking, that vision is becoming a reality.angelpk

I am so proud of the work that has gone into Angel Park.   It is truly an inspiring community project.  More than $1 million has been raised, mostly from private sources, and the community will come together to build the park starting on July 8th.   This is one of the most complicated and extensive volunteer projects in the history of eastern Baltimore County.

I encourage you to learn about the Szczybor family story, the importance of this park, and how you can lend a hand.
