After four years of planning, construction started today on Angel Park, an all-access playground and amphitheater that will be built next to the Perry Hall library.

Volunteers helped raise more than $1 million for this project.  Working with Leathers & Associates, the Angel Park team developed logistics for building the playground over the next ten days.

I am extraordinarily proud of this project.  It is a perfect example of how government and the community can work together – the land was donated to Baltimore County in an arrangement supported by our office, but much of the heavy lifting was done by volunteers who raised money and carried through on a detailed construction plan.  When done, Angel Park will be a source of pride and joy.
