REFORMING GOVERNMENT
David Marks has worked to make government more accountable to communities and taxpayers, sponsoring numerous bills that reform the development process. He expanded a tax credit for energy-efficient homes, cosponsored the bill that puts proposed regulations on-line, and supported the toughest ethics law in county history. David Marks is proud to have never voted for an income or property tax rate increase, but has voted for more budget cuts than any other Councilmember in Baltimore County history. READ MORE >>
A GREENER BALTIMORE COUNTY
David Marks downzoned thousands of acres to protect our communities from overdevelopment—including the most land ever downzoned in places like Carney, and the Cromwell Valley. He championed the construction of eleven new parks, including the first built along the Loch Raven Boulevard corridor in a half-century. He helped create two greenways in Perry Hall—the Indian Rock and Seven Oaks Environmental Conservation Areas—that include 54 acres of protected land. READ MORE >>
