I will be cosponsoring legislation that would move Council work sessions to 6 
p.m. or later, allowing more opportunity for the public to testify on bills and contracts. Currently, work sessions are scheduled at 2 p.m. every other Tuesday, except for the summer when they are once a month.
The resolution is sponsored by Councilman Wade Kach and cosponsored by Councilman Izzy Patoka.
I have long supported this legislation, and now there is bipartisan support for making this change. I believe the costs to the county will be minimal, and far outweighed by the benefits to the public.
