The death of Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz creates a large void in local politics. While I did not always agree with the County Executive, I always respected his intelligence, discipline, and commitment to public service. He gave 24 years to Baltimore County as a member of the County Council and as County Executive.
The County Executive’s legacy will include, first and foremost, a historic level of investment in our schools. We shared a commitment to the revitalization of Downtown Towson that is producing stunning results.
My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
