I am delighted by the news that Ridgeleigh will be added to Baltimore County’s rat eradication pilot program. I had made the request to the County Executive’s office at the request of the Ridgeleigh Improvement Association, and am pleased that Ridgeleigh will be one of three communities in central Baltimore County to receive extra help with these efforts.
Ridgeleigh is an older community located near Oakleigh Road and Loch Raven Boulevard. Since 2010, our office has made a special effort to support this area. Nearly all the roads were resurfaced, and we secured funding to air condition Oakleigh Elementary School. The rat eradication efforts are particularly important as we try to stabilize and strengthen this neighborhood.
