On Saturday, May 11, about 40 volunteers from Cintas of Baltimore completed a community service project in the heart of Perry Hall. For about two hours, the volunteers weeded, laid new mulch, and power-washed the Veterans Memorial and community sign near Perry Hall Elementary School.
I want to thank all these employees, many of whom do not live in Perry Hall. I especially want to acknowledge Jimmy Lien, the Cintas general manager and Perry Hall resident who first suggested the idea to me at a Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce meeting.
That same morning, members of the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company erected ten new street banners along Belair Road. The banners were paid for by the Perry Hall-White Marsh Business Association and the Perry Hall Improvement Association. Thank you to these organizations.
More improvements are coming. Baltimore County has awarded a grant to the Perry Hall-White Marsh Business Association for landscaping in front of the elementary school. I am hopeful that very soon, finally, the Poor Little Rich Girl building will be demolished.
I would like to thank those men and women who took time from their weekend to improve the look of Downtown Perry Hall. Stay in touch by following our Facebook page.
