Now that the filing deadline has passed, it is clear that I will be unopposed in both the primary and general elections in 2014. This is the first time in more than three decades that a Fifth District incumbent has been unopposed. I would like to thank my family, supporters, and most importantly the voters of the Fifth District for the confidence they have placed in me.
Since 2010, I’ve worked hard to be a County Councilman for every part of the Fifth District and for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. That is the same consensus-building, bipartisan service I hope to continue over the next four years.
