This morning, I joined the County Executive and representatives from Caves Valley Partners at the announcement of Towson Row, a proposed $300 million project that will be built along Chesapeake Avenue, Towsontown Boulevard, and York Road.
The scale of the project is simply breathtaking: it will occupy nearly an entire block, blending a hotel, offices, residences, restaurants, shops, and an upscale grocery store. Towson Row is probably the most ambitious project that will ever be built in Downtown Towson in the foreseeable future.
Now is the time to push ahead on some of the enhancements that Downtown Towson needs to prepare this type of redevelopment, including a transit circulator, bike lanes, and pedestrian improvements.
