Construction has started on a raised intersection at Joppa Road and Carlisle Avenue in Perry Hall.
The project is a speed hump that covers the entire intersection. Its purpose is to help protect pedestrians from motorists who run or roll through stop signs.
The $45,000 initiative also includes pedestrian ramps at the corners.
One of my priorities has been to improve safety near schools. This complements the traffic calming along Ebenezer Road on the other side of Perry Hall Middle School.
I would like to thank the Baltimore County Public Works for its continued support of transportation projects in my district, including the resurfacing of Joppa Road.
